After parlaying their connections into an internship at Bad Boy Records, Myrick began creating beats for Uptown Records and Bad Boy Artists. At the time Pierre also attended Howard University along with Sean Combs and future Hitmen leader Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie.

Together with partner Harvey Pierre, they made connections with the management of Group Home, which led them to connections with Gang Starr and Clark Kent. Myrick's career began in the late 80s in a rap group called Sticks and Stones. Myrick was a member of Bad Boy Entertainment's "Hitmen" team of in-house producers from the 1990s to the 2010s, and worked with Bad Boy mogul Sean Combs on material for artists such as The Notorious B.I.G.
